Two organizations are coming together to sponsor this learning forum given their plans to advance community-focused service development in support of healthy living and aging in community:
Abrio Health with Community Health Plan to support citizens and organizations in Airdrie and Area to reach and sustain the vision, “Own our Own Health, Becoming Canada’s Healthiest Community”
Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF), with their work related to their Greater Forest Lawn/Clifton Village Vision in South East Calgary.
Forum Objectives
Learn about international, national and provincial trends, priorities and innovations for healthy aging in community, with specific focus on strategies to enhance community focused work
Next Steps: This is an opportunity for individual learning by all participants. Abrio Health and BSF will create a summary of key points from discussions with each topic for further use and discussion as appropriate in their community-based initiatives with partners
