About the 2020 Healthy Living and Aging Forum

IN COMMUNITY, WITH COMMUNITY, BY COMMUNITY

Two organizations are coming together to sponsor this learning forum given their plans to advance community-focused service development in support of healthy living and aging in community:
  • Abrio Health with Community Health Plan to support citizens and organizations in Airdrie and Area to reach and sustain the vision, “Own our Own Health, Becoming Canada’s Healthiest Community”
  • Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF), with their work related to their Greater Forest Lawn/Clifton Village Vision in South East Calgary.

Forum Objectives

  • Learn about international, national and provincial trends, priorities and innovations for healthy aging in community, with specific focus on strategies to enhance community focused work
  • Next Steps: This is an opportunity for individual learning by all participants. Abrio Health and BSF will create a summary of key points from discussions with each topic for further use and discussion as appropriate in their community-based initiatives with partners
